Sunday November 5th marked the 31st annual Comox Valley Child Development Association Telethon. The first two cheques presented were by the Courtenay and Comox branches, 17 and 160, at the event broadcast live on Shaw Cable. . Each branch provided members for the joint colour party and the Courtenay Legion Pipe Band was on hand to get the proceedings started. As always, the two branches matched each other's $1,000.00 donations.
Pictured are members of the Pipe Band, Colour Party and Branch representatives Ginger Simons (Branch 17 Special Events Chair) and Pave Parkin (President Branch 160.) Receiving the cheques are Pam Crow and Heather McFetridge of the Comox Valley Child Development Association.

Our
hope is that members of other Branches take this on as a member
initiative. I
know that Red Deer is doing something for "Red Fridays",
however, not as "Grand" as 118. Members
of 118 have been working on this for a month or so and here
is what has happened to date.
"Red Friday Support" members from RCL #118
will gladly accept the promotion.
